The Spaulding Rehabilitation Network’s new facility opened in the Spring of 2013. It is located at the historic Charlestown Navy Yard, which is also the home of Old Ironsides (the USS Constitution). Incorporated into the hospital’s grounds, a Tidal Stream park was constructed that allows visitors and residents to visit, sit, and enjoy the views of the Harbor. Visitors will discover within the park dozens of life-sized, indigenous animals in bronze that Robert and his team created including a Loggerhead Sea Turtle, a Great Blue Heron, Sandpipers, Piping Plovers, Double-Crested Cormorants, and numerous sea creatures. We collaborated with the art consulting firm Boston Art on this project.
